Dear Secret Santa,

First off I’m fine with either a gen or a slash fic. I really like Tim and Tony or Palmer and Tony as friends. Gibbs/DiNozzo is always a good bet in any iteration, friends, lovers, family, but I’m open to any of the chosen pairings except any with Trent Kort.. I've always wanted to read Gibbs/Fornell and Jimmy/Tony would be a new, interesting experience. Tony is my favorite character, and I’d really like Tony to me a main character in the story unless the pairing is Gibbs/Fornell.

In addition to what I wrote in my sign up, I like Aus of any type, crossovers, and case fics.
Some crossover ideas, Stargate, Sentinel, His Dark Materials, MCU, Sherlock, James Bond, Person of Interest.

I really enjoy competent Tony and the characters acting in a thoughtful and mature manner. I also really like romance in my stories when possible. I like all the characters except for Ziva but Ducky is my favorite after Gibbs and Tony. I also really like Dwayne Pride form New Orleans a lot.

I’m not opposed to Tony or Gibbs in a het relationship but please no Tiva. I’ve already listed all my triggers and that list covers what I really dislike. I don’t mind light whump but it isn’t my favorite. I find nonlinear stories hard to read. I don’t mind if one of the characters acts like a jerk, but I’d like them to get called on it, and not in the main pairing please.

So I haven't posted to my livejournal in a long time. However, I wrote a Sherlock ficlet

This is a little missing scene drabble I wrote for myself and then decided to post. The plot holes in HLV drive me crazy.

I think that Sherlock must have left the hospital awhile before Christmas as he looks fully recovered and healthy by then. This scene takes place at some unspecified time before Christmas. It is gen but can be read as pre-slash.

Summary: Missing scene from His Last Vow. John makes an important decision.

I don't know who said this but I agree: Edited to add my own thoughts (not part of the original reddit call for action): And if you do not feel like taking a total break and perhaps want just a trial separation or couple's counseling, then perhaps consider Black March Lite 2.0 = spend, but spend money on those content creators and independent retailers who came out against SOPA/PIPA. And tell them why you're buying their products in March. There are many of them.

And for those who favor the more targeted boycott, you can find info here. But no matter which, you can participate and you can tailor your level of participation. We have the tools, the will and the strength to take a stand.

i just found out Fringe has been renewed for a fourth Season! OMG I'm so excited! It's one of the best shows on tv and my absolute favorite. I was so worried it wouldn't get renewed. If you on't watch it you should!

Okay so it turns out I'm not a Fic writer. I never thought iy would be easy of course but I never expected to be totally horrible at it. This caused an identity crisis of sorts for me and I've been very depressed. I felt like I had no idea how I was because I have always thought of myself as a writer. But I finally realized what I am is a poet. Maybe my poems aren't very good but writing them is as necessary as breathing and I think any writer out there feels the same about there fics, So I hope to be writing alot more poetry in the future.

The dial tone buzzed in her ear
the phone all but forgotten in her hand
not for the first time
she reflected on the powerof words
to rejuvinate to heal
to hurt and to destroy
words used to sooothe
or weilded like a weapon
even more damaging when used
carelessly

She had learned
one has to be careful
often when people use words
they don't say what they mean or really mean what they say
isn't that how the saying goes? clique but true

She thought she had learned not to believe his lies
or is it really a lie when the person believes that what they say is true ?
in the moment the words are well intentioned
true and sincere
in the heat of the moment
they shine with feeling
with meaning

yet to her ears they soon ring false
for she knows in her heart that later
his words will become
brittle things
blown away on the breeze as unsubstantial as ever
a promise broken
a casualty of his good intentions and inattenton
to anything other than
his needs his wants

and yet this time she had almost believed
she curses her own weakeneses
her need to be loved and accepted
overcoming her common sense
she had fallen in the trap once again

already she sees the signs so clear
he begins to grow tired yet again
she can never be what he wants not for long
she knows to be what he wants is to destroy her sense of self
But she won't walk away
she can't

trapped in a cage
that he created
but that she herself keeps locked
she waits
he will call back
his anger fading away
he'll come back
she will force herself to forget
his cruelty and her pain
she will choose to believe his words of love
She always does
